A Fine Austrian Antique Patinated and Ormolu-mounted Carved Oak Regulator

Description

Having a tall and elaborate designed body surmounted with a pair of hovering patinated bronze figures of cherubs over an arched and molded brass clock face with Roman numerals, flanked by winged female masks, foliage and laced bronze trim

 

The front columns with patinated and ormolu bronze figures of Greek caryatids maidens. The chased circular pendulum next to a pair of chased bronze clock weights. The inside back panel with a gilt bronze plaque of a seated goddess with a cherubs above a circular bronze plaque of a maiden and a bronze plaque depicting the studies of arts and science with a seated female next to a pair of putti and the base with a mask of a roaring lion within a carved arched
